Dr. Stephanie A. Staatz, O.D.
Dr. Stephanie Staatz provides comprehensive eye care, including contact lens services and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
Dr. Staatz earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1997, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree along with an additional Bachelor of Visual Science degree. During her training, she completed clinical internships at the Westside VA and Gilchrist-Marchman Rehabilitation Center.
Her clinical excellence and professionalism were recognized with several honors, including the Lawrence P. Feigenbaum Clinical Excellence Award, the Council on Ethics Professionalism Award, and membership in the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society.
Dr. Staatz has lived and practiced in the Northland for more than 25 years and is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality eye care to her patients and community.
Outside the office, Dr. Staatz enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, their adult children—Mason, Rylee, and Ellie—and their rescue dogs, Lily, Dax and Lola.
Dr. Nicole D. Verachtert, O.D.
Nicole D. Verachtert, O.D. specializes in comprehensive eyecare, contact lens care, and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.
Dr. Verachtert was born and raised in Glendale, California and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles where she was awarded the Mayor Richard Riordan Epic Award for outstanding community service as an EMT.
Dr. Verachtert received her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1998. Her medical education was enhanced by fulfilling internships in ocular disease at the Veterans Administration Clinics in Hampton, VA, and Huntington, WV. She received additional contact lens, pediatric, and low vision training; and received the Pediatric and Binocular Vision Achievement Award. She is a member of the National Honor Roll and Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society.
While away from work, Nicole has enjoyed living in the Parkville area since 1999. She enjoys spending time with her husband Tony, daughter Lauren and son Nathan and dogs Olive and Breckyn.
Dr. Lauren Seutter, O.D.
Dr. Seutter was born and raised in the Northland and is a graduate of Park Hill High School. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri and received her doctorate with cum laude honors from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Seutter trained at Children’s Mercy Hospital, The Eye Center in Memphis, and Vision Source Eyecare. She is a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, and Missouri Optometric Association.
Lauren, her husband, Blake, and two daughters live in Kansas City North and enjoy supporting the Northland. Lauren’s love for health care started with mission trips. In her free time she enjoys crafting, being in the sun, and cheering on the Chiefs.
Dr. Lauren Seutter practices full-scope family optometry, with a special interest in pediatrics. She is an InfantSEE provider and specializes in working with children as young as three months old, to treat strabismus (eye turn), amblyopia, and other accommodative conditions.
Dr. Scott Staatz, O.D.
Dr. Staatz provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on vision health evaluations, contact lens care, and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma.
He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and completed additional medical training at the Huntington Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Staatz has proudly served patients in the Northland community for more than 30 years and is committed to helping patients maintain lifelong vision and eye health.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Steph, and their children, Mason, Rylee, and Ellie.
