Our Sincerest Thanks to all of you.

Dear Valued Patients:

We would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU.  Thank you for being a part of our practice, being our loyal patients and supporting our small business.

While eyecare is legally considered essential, six weeks ago we made the difficult decision to close our practice for the safety of our staff, patients, and community. We believed the goal of the stay-at-home order was to keep as many people as possible in the safety of their homes in order to stop the spread of the virus, and we tried to do our part to accomplish that goal.  We are privileged to employ an amazing and talented team of individuals. In spite of our closure, we have continued to financially support our staff  throughout the entire time.

We are happy to announce that The Eye Center of Parkville will be able to reopen on Monday, May 4. This decision is based upon updated guidelines from Governor Parson, the CDC, Platte County Health Department, and the AOA. Our clinical services as well as our optical boutique will be available to our patients on this date.  We have missed our community, and look forward to the privilege of caring for you again.

In an effort to protect our patients and staff, we will need to limit the number of patients in the office.  Thank you for your patience as we work to reschedule everyone and still respect social distancing guidelines.  Therefore, in addition to patient care in our clinic, we will ask you to schedule your visit with our opticians for your glasses needs.

For an appointment with our doctors:  Please email info@parkvilleeye.com to request an appointment and we will contact you as soon as possible.  In your message, please specify any details in regards to your request that will help us determine scheduling.  We thank you for your patience, as we are faced with this new challenge of helping a large number of persons as efficiently as possible while still following recommended guidelines.

For an appointment with our opticians for new glasses or help with existing glasses:  Please email jbrand@parkvilleeye.com.

In addition, please email info@parkvilleeye.com for requests for contact lens orders, medication refills, or any other concern related to your care.

As we've been monitoring the rapidly changing nature of COVID-19, we want you to know that we are doing our best to navigate these challenging and unprecedented times. Here is an update on how we are handling our office to best support the health and safety of both you and our team.

For those with appointments:

  • Upon arriving for your appointment we ask that you call the office and wait for your appointment in your vehicle. A staff member will call you when the doctor is ready to see you.

  • We ask that everyone coming into the office wear a mask for your protection and the protection of other patients and staff.  Our staff will also wear masks with every patient encounter.

  • Please come alone to your appointment.  Minor/elderly patients may be accompanied by one guardian.

  • We will be asking you screening questions when you arrive for your appointment.

  • We will be taking the temperature of anyone entering the building, anyone with a temperature greater than 100* will be rescheduled.

  • If shopping in our retail space, picking up glasses, or coming in for a repair, we ask that you call the office from the parking lot when you arrive and an optician will let you know when they are ready to assist you. This allows us to clean and sanitize everything before and after your visit.

  • If you are picking up contact lens orders, we ask that you call the office from the parking lot when you arrive and a staff member will assist you.

There is no higher priority to our practice than the health and safety of our patients and employees. You can be confident that The Eye Center of Parkville always takes proper precaution in maintaining the cleanliness of our facility.

  • We clean and sanitize all surfaces with disinfectant in between patients.  This includes all areas of the exam room, equipment, and seating.

  • Our front desk, optical seating, tables, and displays are sanitized on a set schedule throughout the day.  Spectacle and sunglass frames are cleaned after completing a patient consultation.

  • We check the temperature of all staff upon their arrival at the office and again after lunch.

  • All staff takes great care to wash hands in between patients and use hand sanitizer throughout a patient encounter.  Hand sanitizers are also located throughout the office for patient and staff use.

Thank you for your trust in our office. In this world of uncertainty, we appreciate your understanding. Please be patient…We will follow the procedures for EVERYONE coming to our office. It will take a bit of extra time, and we are committed to doing this for everyone's safety. We hope at the very least, that times like these remind us that we are all in this together. We as a team appreciate your small business support now and always.

Together we will survive & thrive!

We look forward to seeing you soon,
